Urban Roots London received a $282,354, 3-year Community Vitality grant in 2024 to grow their infrastructure with a focus on expanding their site at Siloam United Church. In 2025, with the support of the grant, they donated over 5,200lb of freshly grown produce to organizations running food security programming across the City of London, a 126% increase in their donated food from 2024.

Hutton House teamed up with London-based digital studio Web.is.odes in the summer of 2025 to produce Root Awakening – a documentary about The Patch, told through the lens of volunteer Faye Simmons. Faye, who uses a wheelchair, first became involved with Hutton House as a volunteer receptionist, but has been involved with The Patch since the project started in 2020.

2025 saw the repayment of a $2.5 million loan to London Community Foundation’s Social Impact Fund by the London Particular Council of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul. The bridge loan was used to accelerate the development of St. Vincent’s on Huron – a 73unit mixed-income housing development, where affordable units will be open to some of the most vulnerable people in our society.

London Community Foundation’s Community Vitality grant program – one of the Foundation’s largest funding streams – has awarded over $1.45 million to support six projects in London and Middlesex County run by local charities. In 2023, a Community Vitality Grant of $65,000 was awarded to Strong Start for their Letters, Sounds and Words program, a project that acts as a literacy intervention for young children to develop foundational reading skills. Over two years, the program aimed to address gaps in equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) across its educational materials, ensuring that all children and volunteers were represented.
