Holiday Giving - London Community Foundation

The end of the year is fast approaching and exciting things are happening here at London Community Foundation. We know this is the time of year many of you like to grant. We want to make your holiday giving for 2026 as easy and seamless as possible.

Key Dates

To ensure your Granting can be completed by December 24th, 2026, the deadline for your grant request to be made is November 27th, 2026.
To ensure your Grant counts within the 2026 calendar year, your grant request must be received by December 31st, 2026.

Please note that grant requests received between November 28th and December 31st may be fulfilled in January 2027, due to the high volume of grant requests.

You can also make grants from your fund seamlessly on our Fundholder Portal. If you have not signed up already, please reach out to us to receive your unique log-in link.

If you need ideas on where to grant, please view our new Grants Catalogue, which you can also view on your Portal. The Fall edition of the Catalogue closes on November 27th.

Donations as Gifts

If you wish to make a donation or request donations to your fund in lieu of gifts for the holidays:

To be eligible for a 2026 tax receipt, donations must be received by December 31st, 2026.
You can help friends and family give to your fund here.
You can make a secure online donation to the Community Fund here.
You can donate by e-transfer by adding London Community Foundation as a payee, then directing the e-transfer to Silvia Ventura at finance@lcf.on.ca.
To donate securities, our brokerage firm must receive the securities by electronic transfer from your broker/advisor by December 31st, 2026. Please ensure this form is completed by you and your advisors and sent to Melissa Gauvin at BMO Nesbit Burns so we can allocate your gift properly.

Our physical office is open Tuesday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm. Please note that Covent Garden Market and our physical office are closed on Mondays, but our staff is still available.
