While London Community Foundation aims to support organizations with a social focus to achieve their goals, we have thorough due diligence processes in place. Each investment is assessed based on a range of criteria including community impact, organizational capacity, project viability, and repayment ability.

London Community Foundation supports the development, acquisition, renovation, and preservation of affordable and supportive housing. Financing is available to help organizations advance projects during key stages of development, including planning, land acquisition, pre-development activities, construction, and the period before long-term financing is secured.

The Social Impact Fund provides capital that can bridge funding gaps and support housing projects as they move through development. Loans are tailored to the needs of each project and may be repaid through construction financing, mortgage financing, government funding, capital campaigns, asset sales, or operating revenues.

The Social Impact Fund provides financing to registered charities and social enterprises that are creating measurable community benefits and have a realistic plan for long-term sustainability and loan repayment. Loan financing can help organizations acquire property, expand facilities, purchase equipment, launch new initiatives, manage cash flow, or pursue strategic growth opportunities.

Our investment priority is to invest in organization supporting London, Middlesex, and the neighbouring First Nations. Limited funds are available to organizations working outside the area, subject to availability.
