Important Dates for 2009 Gifts
For anyone making a contribution to their endowment fund wishing to support the Community Fund or wishing to establish their own Fund, the 2009 tax receipt deadline is quickly approaching.
If you're making a gift of publicly listed securities, donations need to be made no later than December 28, 2009 to allow the Community Foundation the necessary time to process the securities before the tax receipt deadline of December 31, 2009.
Donations by credit card are accepted online at www.lcf.on.ca until December 31st at midnight. You can also make gifts by Visa, Mastercard, or American Express by phone until 1:00pm EST on December 30th, 2009. Please call 519-667-1600 ext 105.
To make a gift by cheque, through the mail or hand delivery, make cheques payable to the London Community Foundation and include the name of the Fund to which you wish to direct your donation. Note that Canada Post no longer postmarks envelopes. Donations must be received prior to deadline of December 31, 2009 to be eligible for a 2009 tax receipt.
