The tragic death of Megan Holliday led to an outpouring of generosity, reminiscent of her unfailing spirit and love of life.

Megan, 20, was on a swimming scholarship at the University of Southern California when she died after an accidental fall at her university residence.

Her parents, Ron and Susan Holliday, and her brothers, Brent, Cory and Bryce, decided to honour her memory by establishing the Megan Holliday Memorial Fund, a donor advised fund, at London Community Foundation. Each year, grants from her fund benefit several charities in London and Middlesex providing programming for children and recreation. The Hollidays feel these are the kinds of charities that Megan herself would have supported.

The fund also supports the Megan Holliday Spirit Award, an annual award given in her name at London Aquatic Club.
