Are the government’s tax reform plans top of mind for you at the moment?

This is a timely topic for charities as well as we head into the giving season. There are concerns that these changes will affect charitable giving, although the implications aren’t yet entirely clear.

Right now is an opportune time to discuss philanthropy with your advisor. This is even more critical this year as several equity markets reach all-time highs, and as we await the proposed tax reforms (which could negatively impact the tax benefits available to donors).

Whether it’s cash, appreciated securities, life insurance or a deferred gift (e.g. a gift in one’s will), our Foundation makes it easy for you to give strategically to the causes that matter most to you. With a gift of any size, they can start a donor-directed fund that will grant forever.
