I immigrated to Canada from Ukraine in 2004 with my family and it was a life-changing experience. Not only is Canada a beautiful country, but so are the people. I found my way to London Community Foundation in 2011, as a Finance and Administrative Assistant. In the past seven years, my role has grown and I now work directly alongside our CEO and management team as the Executive Administrator, in addition to providing support to our board and committees. I love everything that the Foundation stands for – the people that work there and the people it supports.

London is a diverse community, full of opportunities. With such a broad spectrum of activities for all ages and walks of life, my family and I love wandering the city. Visiting the Covent Garden Market for a burek, a stroll to the Thames River, visiting the library with our child, attending events at Budweiser Gardens and being able to grab a cold beverage on a downtown patio are just a handful of our favourite activities.

I’m now a proud Community Fund fundholder at LCF. I’m able to trust the Foundation to grant money to worthy recipients every year with the Community Vitality grant program, helping to fund much-needed game-changing initiatives in our community. Being able to see the impact the Foundation has made in our community over the last few years only solidifies my belief that LCF is the perfect organization to share my philanthropic journey with, thanks to all their knowledge and resources. I can’t wait to see what the future holds!
